Weekend Recap: Deer hunting and Charlie Brown’s new movie

We had another busy weekend with both of the boys having basketball games, looking for some new living room furniture, meetings, and that’s just a few of the things that were on the Patterson calendar. YIKES!

I feel the need to share some news. I heart Charlie Brown. No, I haven’t always loved him, but the more I adult, the more I love him. When I was a little girl, I DID appreciate the Charlie Brown holiday shows on t.v., they just weren’t my fav. But nothing kicked off the holiday like watching those great shows.

My favorite line… “I got a rock.”

Who doesn’t remember the popcorn and toast they served for the feast??!

So many great moments in this movie…Linus sharing the true meaning of Christmas. Snoopy making fun of Lucy.

Yes. Ben and I would watch these movies every time they came on t.v. and I specifically remember Mom loving them. Me? They were just okay.

BUT NOW. I love them! All of the movies! And so do our boys!

With that knowledge, it should come as no surprise that we just HAD to go to The Peanuts Movie this past weekend.

An awesome movie. #mustsee

Check out the trailer for yourself…

Hubby and I took the boys to the movie and we all loved it. Having our fair share of popcorn, candy, and pop only made the night even more delightful. Hearing the boys giggle continuously throughout the entire movie made my heart all full and big. I kept giggling, as well. It was just so darn cute!!

After the movie, Nate and Maxim got posters. Free souvenirs are the best.

We all love Charlie Brown!

The rest of our weekend was filled with the tooth fairy visiting…

Maxim lost another tooth 🙂

And watching Footloose, SUCH a classic movie. I might have started dancing in the living room. And that soundtrack?! #awesomemusic

Cuddling on the big chair and ottoman #sweetboysandmom

We cheered and congratulated Hubby on the BIG buck he shot! He was so excited. So were the boys. 🙂

A nice 10-point! #anothertrophy

And I worked on my Erin Condren planner…jotting down my writing deadlines, planning meals, and just plain ol’ getting organized.

Two of my favorite things…my Erin Condren life planner and my Staedtler pens

That was our weekend. But back to Charlie Brown. I’m curious. What is your favorite Charlie Brown movie? Have a favorite quote? Favorite movie scene? I’d love to hear! And if you haven’t seen The Peanuts Movie, then go check it out!!
